Ballethnic Collection

Heritage, Harmony & Classics revisits the foundational works of Ballethnic Dance Company — a celebration of the choreographers, musicians, and cultural traditions that shaped the company's identity. From neoclassical works set to the music of Dinah Washington to excerpts from Flying West, the Ballet, live gospel performances, and a jubilant Second Line finale, the evening honors Ballethnic's roots while showcasing the full range of its artistic vision: classical, modern, Afrocentric, and always rooted in community.

Ballethnic Dance Company brought the magic of the Urban Nutcracker to Spivey Hall in a 30-minute educational performance designed especially for elementary school audiences. What unfolded was a vibrant, miniature version of the full production — a carefully crafted journey through movement, color, character, and audience engagement.
